The short version

Left on Read has no accounts, no sign-in, and no ads. Your reading progress, streaks, and story transcripts are stored on your device.

Story messages. When you chat inside a story, the messages you type in that story are sent to Google's Gemini API so the character can reply. They are used only to generate the reply and are subject to Google's API terms. Don't type personal information you wouldn't want processed this way.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Daily stories. The app may fetch the day's story from our server. This is a plain content download; no personal data is sent.
Subscription status. Your purchase receipt and a random install ID (your Support ID) are processed by RevenueCat so your subscription unlocks reliably across reinstalls. No name, email, or payment details are involved.
Ad measurement — only if you allow tracking. When you first reach the paywall, iOS asks whether Left on Read may track you. If you choose Allow, your device's advertising identifier and purchase events are shared with Meta so we can measure which ads brought readers to the app. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, no identifier is shared — the app works identically either way, and you can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders from your unfinished stories. These are generated on your device.

Delete the app and everything stored on the device is gone. There is no server-side account to delete.
